GPTeaming
(GPS based Teambuilding)
This exciting program utilizes GPS technology (electronic navigating tool) to
create a new twist on teambuilding. Small teams use
GPS units to locate mystery caches located
around the Takhini Hot Springs. These caches can involve rewards, puzzles, trust, problem
solving and tests of fortitude. Groups are presented with opportunities to develop effective
interaction, expand problem solving skills, realize strengths, face fears and generally enjoy
a pleasant outing in the country.
The day starts with warm up activities, and a safety briefing. After an
introductory session on how to use the GPS units, participants spend 3-4 hours on the course.
About half of the time is spent hiking and half at the mystery caches. Distance between caches
is variable depending on what challenge level is desired by your group. Guides travel with the
groups and facilitate the activities. The day is concluded with a wrap up discussion of the
day's events. Catering and Hot Springs pool time are available.

programs can help your group become a more effective team.
The Global Positioning System is a set of satellites that enable you to determine
your position anywhere on the earth. The GPS satellites circle the earth and beam radio signals
back to the surface which a hand held receiver uses to calculate your position. These receivers
can be used to determine location, find a desired location, track a journey or help you return
to your starting point.
